Here are my arguments against socialism:
By all means provide all people a safety net of basic needs, facilities and amenities until they are adults, but taxes must be minimised to give people something to aspire to, to get their creativity juices flowing in the way others appreciate, for vibrancy to rejuvenate life generally, and for hopeful and optimistic living. This is more than an economic argument. It concerns efficiency, incentive, fairness towards the wealth creators and therefore justice. Betterment and improvements must be rewarded as they are in Nature with natural selection.
Have I now made the philosophical case for reduced taxes?
