Should atheists be supporting China's overtures in Tibet?
Apr 7th 2012, 06:29

Not sure if this belongs elsewhere, but here goes anyway.

The question boils down to this: how much is the Dalai lama's setup in Tibet like the Pope's setup in the Vatican? How much money is Tibet raking in from superstition? Is there a similar harm being done in the name of superstition, like the RCC is doing?

If the answer to any of these questions is 'yessir', does it mean that atheists should support the end of buddhist theocracy in Tibet? (if not neccessarily the means?)

Discuss.
