Why I broadly think Politics is B*llsh*t. Apr 20th 2012, 12:59 Every few years there comes around elections. You go into a cubicle and you tick/cross a box next to the party that you pin your hopes and dreams on making a difference...... HOWEVER!!!!! Your tick/cross does not give you a say on where all of the cuts to public spending must go. Your tick/cross does not have any say in wether wars should be fought on distant shores. Your tick/cross does not have any say on wether we (as in the uk) should stay part of the European Union where around 5/6 new laws are decided by unelected people (unelected as in BY the common people) In fact in my view all your tick does is give you the slightest sense of "democracy" which is just a dressed up version of a dictatorship.
