Mitt Romney's cultural differences

Folks,

On visiting Israel, Mitt Romney has said that the Palestinian's problems are caused by 'cultural differences'.

This is a very interesting concept. By drawing attention to 'cultural differences' we might consider some problems that Jewish people themselves had in Germany during the 1930s and early 1940s. It does seem true to say that there were 'cultural differences' between the National Socialists and the Jewish population in Germany and these differences were accentuated by the former in order to promulgate a certain social programme.

Another pertinent example of 'cultural differences' is what was experienced by American blacks before and during the 1960s and to some extent today in the USA. Such cultural differences do have a tendency to persist through history.

I have heard it called 'racism'.

Alex.
